Sara Flounders is Co-Director of International Action Center--an activist organization opposing U..S. imperialism, since its founding in 1992 by Ramsey Clark; an organizer with Troops Out Now Coalition and the Bail Out the People Movement. Flounders is a writer for Workers World newspaper, an elected member of board of WBAI public radio and a UN Representative for Nord-Sud XXI.

For more than 40 years she has been organizing anti-imperialist and anti-racist struggles, in defense of political prisoners, major anti-war demonstrations, international tribunals and struggles of working people in the U.S. an empire now in decline and decay.

Sara Flounders is a coauthor and an editor of 10 books involving Iraq, Haiti, Yugoslavia, Colombia, military recruitment, the corporate media and radioactive depleted uranium weapons. She has worked with teams of activists to produce videos and maintain numerous web sites.

She has organized solidarity delegations and traveled to Iraq during the years of U.S. sanctions, Central Africa Republic after the U.S. kidnapped Haitis President Aristide in 2004, Sudan after the 1998 U.S. bombing of pharmaceutical plant, Yugoslavia during NATO bombing, and also to Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and has had an opportunity to attend anti-imperialist gathering and participate in peoples movements in India, South Korea, Colombia, Cuba and others.
