When Kent Bazemore entered the game for a few seconds at the end of the first half, TV announcer Bob Fitzgerald had his first opportunity to mention the Santa Cruz Warriors. Bazemore was loaned to the Surf City squad from Golden State the previous game in Reno, and starred with team highs in points and rebounds leading Santa Cruz to victory. Jeremy Tyler is another Golden State player who has been shuffled to the "D" league team, but did not play in last nights 102-95 loss at Bakersfield (3-1). Santa Cruz suffered it's first loss of the season (2-1) following wins at Reno to open the Developmental League season. Travis Leslie led Santa Cruz with 25 points and 14 rebounds but it was not enough, as turnovers spelled doom with the Jam scoring 27 points off Santa Cruz mistakes. Meanwhile, Golden State had their home winning streak snapped by Orlando, as "Big Baby" Glenn Davis seemed to always come up with the clutch shot or rebound. The NBA Warriors played perhaps their worst game of the season, as they now embark on a rugged 6 game road trip starting in Detroit vs. the Pistons. Meanwhile, Santa Cruz remains on the road playing Friday in Los Angeles...and will remain road warriors until their home opener December 23rd, and the still under construction Kaiser-Permanente Arena.
