Running a short Eclipse session on my EeePC to test its performance. Machine details: EeePC 701 with 512 MB memory (no extensions) and eeeXubuntu as operating system.
With Suns Java 6 and eclipse installation from repository I have another 150 MB free disk space left. Running eclipse seems to take about 120 MB of RAM. You still can move the larger dialog windows to access "invisible" areas caused by the small resolution. Notice: The screencasting tool was taking another bit of system performance.
