REGARDING ARRESTS AT LONDON DEMONSTRATION: I was there until the end filming and did not witness any of what the Police said via the BBC which is now relayed all over the world. "A group moved away from the main protest and began to damage property, including cars and shops as well as threatening members of the public,". NOT TRUE! THEY ARE TRYING TO DISCREDIT THIS MOVEMENT AND LINK IT TO RIOT BEHAVIOUR!. They encircled about 30 youths who were walking in a group, at 10pm near Trafalgar square, kept them on the ground for 2 hours and then arrested them without any reason! One has been released just now at 3.30pm and said they were intimidated during their custody, were not allowed to contact their families or Lawyer. I was also arbitrarily arrested 2 days ago! WE URGENTLY NEED LAWYERS OR PEOPLE CONNECTED TO HELP US DEFEND OUR RIGHTS TO DEMONSTRATE. NOW. Please get in touch and circulate this info. shana@africalives.org
