Age old parapet capping methods often have failed because metal was used. Continuous cleating and solder joints fail because of thermal stress. Redundancy (with sub-level muck or rubber membrane) is often employed as a band-aide (back-up) to the metal joints with expectation of leaks. THE PRIMARY CLADDING SHOULD NOT LEAK! The answer? FIBERGLASS with a copper coat! With very little thermal variance, this cladding is monolithic. Go to: FSI Restorations for more information.
