Old wallpaper can make your home look tired and outdated. If it’s time to remove your wallpaper and give your home a fresh new feel, this DIY video will give you all of the tips and tricks you need to get the job done!

What you need:
- Drop cloth
- Paper tiger
- DIF wallpaper stripper liquid concentrate
- Bucket
- Pressurised garden spray pack
- Sponge
- Low sheen acrylic paint
- 100mm rock set stripping knife

Step 1 – Cover furnishings with a drop cloth
Step 2 – Try and peel some of the wallpaper at a seam or corner, if it tears in small strips then it’s probably vinyl based
Step 3 – Use the paper tiger in a circular motion to score the surface to aid the penetration of the wallpaper stripper
Step 4 – Fill a bucket with 8L of hot tap water and add some of the DIF wallpaper stripper liquid concentrate
Step 5 – Stir thoroughly and then pour into a pressurised garden spray pack
Step 6 – Start by spraying the top of the wall and work your way down the wall
Step 7 – Follow the instructions on the back of the DIF container
Step 8 – Repeat this process until the paper removes easily
Step 9 – Use the stripping knife to remove the wet wallpaper and adhesive
Step 10 – Wash down walls using a sponge and the DIF solution
Step 11 – Use a clean cloth to give the wall a clean
Step 12 – Paint the walls with a low sheen acrylic paint
