Billy might be a big boy, but oh what a baby he is.

Billy's brindled, muscular body shows who he is on the outside, but inside is a gentle boy who yearns to please you. Billy walks on a leash very well, and he often looks back at you to check in. If there's a soft, grassy spot along the way, Billy will instantly drop and roll around in it.

One of Billy's favorite things to do at APA is to play in the water. Again, he looks back at you, inviting you with his eyes, "Come on it, the water's fine!" He's also a lover boy who enjoys chilling out at your feet and perhaps getting a belly rub (oh please, please, please?).

Billy has already learned good kennel manners that will easily translate to a household. If commanded to do so, he will wait at the door until prompted to exit. He already knows "sit" and "shake" and is an-star at belly rubs. Billy will take an occasional jog or walk around the yard but he enjoys the quiet moments as well, just chillin' at your feet.

It should be noted that Billy has tested positive for heartworms. It's a treatable condition, and the cost is included in the adoption fee. You can read about heartworm treatment here:http://www.austinpetsalive.org/heartw...

Billy has a low-key temperament and doesn't seem to be bothered by other dogs. He doesn't care for cats, though. His ideal home will be with owner(s) who will treat him like a beloved family member.

This big ol' lug has never met a stranger and he's ready to fill your life with joy.
