Lee Kirkman is no stranger to grief and loss. She lost the love of her life to cancer, has suffered the anguish of a leaky home, lost her sister suddenly and a stepson to suicide. The enduring grief though has come from her son who has journied in addiction and been in and out of prison and remand for 10 years. Through it all though she has been staunch in being " a gorilla " and standing strong in her resolve to find her own peace and coming to a place of acceptance.
