PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION!!!!
I copied the instructions below from first video.
Start by going to minecraft.net and goto the downloads section. At the bottom you will see a minecraft_server.exe, download that one. Open up the location of where you downloaded on your computer. put it in a new folder and run it. If you are on a windows vista or 7 computer, make sure to run it as an administrator. It will pop up on the screen. It will make some files and generate a new world. When it is complete it will say done and at the bottom type stop. Then open the server.properties file and when it prompts you open with notepad. just keep that open for later. Now open the command prompt. WHen it loads type in "ipconfig" without any spaces. Under the top heading you will see something that says IPv4 and numbers to the right of it. Take those numbers back to the server.properties and put it as server ip. Now you can save and exit the server.properties. Now go back to the command prompt and under the same heading there should be something that says default gateway and to the right of that is another set of numbers. Take those numbers and put them in your web browser as a url. it will take you to your router config site. You will have to insert your routers username and password. On that site you need to find your routers portforwarding tab thing. Please note your router page may look different than mine. You must then add a custom service You can call it whatever you want. Make sure the selection for tcp/udp is on tcp/udp and not just tcp or udp. then for the port number for starting and ending put 25565. then the server ip adress should be the same as the one you put in your server.properties. it should be something like 192.168.X.X for the Xs there could be alot of diferent numbers. Then click save/apply. Now you go to ipchicken.com and it will tell you another set of numbers. this is how other people are going to connect to your server. Make sure to take note of it. Then launch the server again and it will load your map. When it says done you can get on minecraft and go into the multiplayer section. Here YOU will type the numbers other people an connect with e.g. the ones from ip-chicken.
Now sit and enjoy!
