FIRST TIME USE TEST NO POST FX STABILIZATION
The "Updated" Came 6000 Brushless 2 Axis Stabilizer Purchased from Came-TV at www.came-tv.com
Used with: BlackMagic Pocket CInema Camera - ProRes 4:2:2 Zeiss 28mm f2.8
I've never used one of these before and I kept bumping into the camera with my knee. There is also a noticeable bump in the smoothness when i switch from the side handles to the top handle. The Pocket has a large crop factor and the field of view is more telephoto then what is ideal for motion stabilization shots. I'll use an 18mm or wider moving forward. All-in-all, its a huge improvement verses pure handheld. This two Axis Gimbal is damn good for gentle walking and mild movement shots - its not so great for running and jumping with the camera. I believe with minor post stabilization and wider lenses, this system is a great solution for a variety of smooth motion shots - except for maybe crazy mad dashes w/ rolling shutter cameras!
