G'Kar (Andreas Kutsulas) is one of the series' most interesting characters. Through the series he transitions from a hate filled former revolution military leader, to an enlightened civil leader, teaching his people to seek peace and understanding with others.

The series, created by J. Michael Straczynski, has a lot of action, but the underlying message of the entire series is one of hope and peace and self realization.
