The Biblical account of Joseph being sold into slavery bulsters our confidence in the reliability of the Bible because it turns up accurate on the incidental details: the right monetary unit, for the right time, and the right price for a slave.
However, the Koran's version of the same story refers to the wrong monetary unit for Joseph's time and the wrong price for a slave. In fact, the Koran refers to a type of coin when coins did not yet exist, and that particular coin did not exist until 10 years after Muhammad's death.
