SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

BLOG: www.cynsew.com
For complete setup instructions and how to sew, go to my blog. This is a tutorial on how to make a professional looking fleece blanket using the sewing machine and creating a wonderful stitch on the edge of the blanket with the serger. If you are use to tying a blanket and want a different look then this is the video for you. I am asked almost everyday how to create this serged edge finish. It is my creation and it is beautiful and easy to do. I use my Janome Compulock serger, but I am sure you could also use any Bernina, Phaff, Husqvarna, Singer or Brother sewing machine and serger for this project. You may have to do some tiny adjusting but I have included my settings. This unique stitch is made with crochet thread and wooly nylon along with your regular serger thread. Visit website at www.cynsew.com for complete setup instructions. The lettering was "Franklin Gothic Heavy Font". They were approximately about 2 inches in height, for the capital letters. I made the embroidery design with my Janome 10,000 sewing machine.
