Belial was a Finnish Death/Black Metal band formed in 1991,Oulu. They released a rehearsal and a demo tape "The Gods of the Pit" in 1991. The original pressing of "The Gods of the Pit" sold out the entire pressing of 500 copies. In 1992 they released an EP "Wisdom of Darkness". They released an EP "The Gods of the Pit Pt.II (Paragon So Below)" in 1993. This was a re-release of "The Gods of the Pit" demo, but the EP has a different tracklist. Then they released a full-lenght "Never Again" in 1993. In 1994 they released two singles "Aftertaste" and "Aftertaste 1 1/2 by their own record label "BringMeTheHeadOfMichaelPiesch". This was an attempt to get back at Michael Piesch, owner of Lethal Records (Former Belial label). With the loss of guitarist Jukka Valppu, the band headed in a more progressive rock/punk direction. This resulted the release of their next album "3". Three of Belial members were involved at grunge-rock band named Autumnfire in 1994/95. These were Anttila, Kellokoski & Lehtosaari and they've done 1 promo-demo in 1994.
