This is a very nice song to play on pedal steel guitar. I raise the 8th string a half tone with my left-knee-left (LKL) lever, also picking strings 6 and 5, to obtain a diminished chord, which I use quite a bit in this song.

I really like diminished and augmented chords. In chord construction, the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of any scale make up a major chord. A diminished is obtained by simply flatting the 3rd and 5th notes a half tone. An augmented is obtained by sharping the 5th note a half tone. A minor chord is achieved by flatting the 3rd note a half tone. It's that simple. God is truly amazing!
