Why do u2 get criticism in the uk , it's simple , jealousy and it's been there since early to mid 1980s , they were already huge because of their work in America and some small sections in the uk cannot understand how they just basically bypassing London and showed their sound and music to a proper crowd that suited them better , huge on college radio in around 81 to 83 in the us was huge for u2 , all the years later and some Brits still have a gripe that their so big and without doubt up with the all time best .

Mark Kermode awkwardly sitting next to Bono, chatting about skiffle and hair is just... the greatest thing ever...
I find it funny that Bono now has Mark's hair.

Adam Guitar Anybody can have great hair at any age. It just costs a lot.

He's 56 and has a head of hair I wish I had at 30 , at the time I think it was the easiest thing to see and say , don't think he would of been allowed to call him an anorak or a 40 year old virgin , don't even think Bono had a clue who he had to talk too just a spa !
I'd love to see Mark interview Bono for The Culture Show like he did with Neil Young.
5:29 That historic moment where Mark hugs Bono.

I bet Bono is a professional in every way, but Mr. Kermode is much more genuine. After the Popmart tour, U2 has been annihilated, as far as music creativity goes.
very true imo
I like mark but he is wrong about u2
