BLU Scout can't enjoy his sandwich...

This movie's idea originated from a nightmare I had. I was there in an empty room, minding my own business, when suddenly, an army guy suddenly showed-up from in front of me from nowhere, his machinegun ready. Then, suddenly, he started screaming. And then, boom, he exploded -- and I mean literally exploded -- into a pile of bloody gibs, body parts flying everywhere. I stared wide-eyed wondering WTF just happened... and then I woke up.

This movie took around 3 months to complete. The title, "Press G", refers to the default key binding used for taunts. The joke here is that, upon throwing away the Equalizer, the Soldier *must* perform the Equalizer taunt. Every TF2 gamer will know what would happen if you taunt with the Equalizer.

Originally, the weapon being featured was not the Equalizer, but the Escape Plan. Son, I played TF2 back when both the Equalizer and the Escape Plan was a single weapon, and the Equalizer back then used the weapon model which the Escape Plan now uses. I still kinda confuse the two. Oh well, the Equalizer's blood-stained appearance makes for a much sinister-looking weapon, so it's an improvement.

Not counting my 3-second "Entire team is babies" video, this is the first SFM video I did which was animated entirely in 2.35:1... or 21:9... whatever. Let's just call it CinemaScope. This movie was originally going to be 16:9, but then I watched Valve's TF2 short film, "Expiration Date", which was in CinemaScope, so that's what led me to change my mind. I must admit, CinemaScope is not an easy format to frame with. It's that format that strongly emphasizes the scene's background, so I had to make sure the backgrounds don't look out of place as I frame the characters. Just for fun, though, I also did a 16:9 version of this movie, which you can watch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cuxqp...
