Scope & Content: The original release sheet reads: KING MOHAMMED OF MOROCCO DIES: King Mohammed V of Morocco dies, to be succeeded by his son, Prince Moulay Hassan, who becomes King Hassan II at a time when left-wing opposition to the monarchy is mounting. Scenes show King Mohammed on a 1957 visit to President Eisenhower, and King Hassan inspecting the reconstruction of disaster-shattered Agadir. INDIA HAILS QUEEN: Queen Elizabeth's tour of India continues to draw massive popular demonstrations of welcome. Two million line her route into Calcutta, where she and Prince Philip visit the Victoria Memorial and go on to the Royal Calcutta Turf Club, for the running of the Queen Elizabeth II Cup Race in her honor. ROYAL FAMILY'S FILM NIGHT: One of London's most glittering evenings, Royal Film Night. Queen Mother Elizabeth and a radiantly lovely Princess Margaret, resplendent in a new hair-do, attend a benefit screening for the benefit of the industry's own charity fund, and greet a host of Britain's top film stars. BIRTHDAY SCENES OF PRINCE HIRO: Japan's favorite baby, Prince Hiro, son of Crown Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko, poses with Mama for his first birthday portraits, happily playing and trying to toddle, in rarely winning and intimate scenes inside a royal household. HOUSE OF DIOR SUMMER PREVIEW: Preview of the House of Dior's summer, 1961 collection, the sensationally successful showing that marks the Paris debut of Dior's new stylist, Marc Bohan. Styles hark back to the '20's and the Prohibition Age, but with a definite flair that marks them in the "60's . . . . SPORTS DOWNHILL SKIING AT GARMISCH: In the German Alpine Championships at Garmisch, dazzling competition on the challenging downhill run. Blazing speeds on the fast, hard and treacherous course produce top winter sports thrills.
