Train 1: A Canadian Pacific manifest comes south through the Tower B-17 interlocking and into Bensenville Yard to terminate its run. Power is CP ES44DC #8762, CEFX "SD40-2" #3151 (like many others, this unit is an ex-SP SD40-2 in an ex-SP SD45 shell) and CP SD40-2 #6049.
Train 2: Okay, so it's hard to see the whole thing and it isn't moving, but I'm counting it anyway. Soo Line power waits by a Canadian Pacific track geometry / inspection train sitting in the yard. Where this train came from and where it's going later, I have no idea.
Train 3: What a great sight! A solid lashup of IC&E / DM&E SD40-2s leads this train! 6427, the "City of Camanche"; 6433, the "City of Clear Lake"; and DM&E #6364, the "City of Sleepy Eye", team up to bring the manifest east toward Franklin Park and Chicago via the BRC.
Train 4: While the manifest heads past the yard, CP SD40-2 #6051 pulls up, then switches tracks to reach the turntable in the yard (yes, B'ville still has a turntable- though no roundhouse any longer).
Train 5: Four SD40-2s lead a manifest out of Bensenville Yard and past the tower: IC&E #6413, the "City of Minneapolis", CEFX #3139 (another SD45 conversion), DM&E #6201, the "City of Pierre", and CITX #3102 (technically an SD40M-2; it's another ex-SP SD45 rebuild).
Train 6: Now at the other (east) end of Bensenville Yard, in Franklin Park, CP's lone GP40X shoves a cut of intermodal cars into the yard.
Train 7: At the Edgington grade crossing and signal bridge, CSX ES44AC #895 leads a long manifest solo down the Indiana Harbor Belt connection.
Train 8: CP GP38 #3018 and GP38-2 #4406, plus CSX AC4400CW #494, lug another long manifest with a lot of old and interesting box cars, east toward the BRC.
Train 9: A very well-timed cut of well cars allowed a view of an outbound Metra train.
