The St. Paul's Hospital Community Forums are informal information sessions that provide an opportunity to ask experts about specific issues that may affect patients (and their family members). Each month features a different medical concern and talk about recent advances in treatment and research.
Part 1 video shows Dr. Urve Kuusk, director, Mount Saint Joseph Hospital Rapid Access Breast Clinic discussing appropriate diagnoses of breast cancer & general surgery management of breast disease for partial mastectomies, sentinel lymph node biopsies and axillary dissections.
Part 2 video shows Dr. Nancy Van Laeken, head, Department of Surgery, Providence Health Care discussing autologous and non-autologous breast reconstruction, both immediate and delayed.
Part 3 video is a Q & A session on the current concepts in diagnosing and treating breast cancer.
