Mireille Mathieu - Acropolis Adieu. Album Rendezvous, Released 1991. Acropolis adieu
Ce soir le vent vient de la mer
Septembre est là, l'été s'en va
Et le bonheur est éphémère
Comme les fleurs qui meurent déjà...

 Acropolis adieu, adieu l'amour
Les roses blanches d'Athénée se sont fanées
On s'est aimés quelques jours
Acropolis adieu!

Ce soir c'est notre dernier soir
Demain matin je partirai
Tu resteras dans ma mémoire
Comme un bonheur comme un regret

 Acropolis adieu, adieu l'amour
Les roses blanches d'Athénée se sont fanées
On s'est aimés quelques jours
Acropolis adieu!

Acropolis adieu, adieu l'amour
Les roses blanches d'Athénée se sont fanées
On s'est aimés quelques jours
Acropolis adieu
Acropolis adieu!

Mireille Mathieu - Acropolis Adieu
🏛🙌❤ Goodbye, Acropolis
This night the wind blows from the sea
September is here, summer is gone
Happiness is fleeting
Like the flowers which have already died

Acropolis, goodbye, goodbye love
The white Athenian roses are fading
We will love another day
Goodbye, Acropolis!

This night is our last night
We will part tomorrow morning
You will stay in my memory
Like happiness, like sadness

 Acropolis, goodbye, goodbye love
The white Athenian roses are fading
We will love another day
Goodbye, Acropolis!
Goodbye, Acropolis! Early years:
Mireille Mathieu was born on 22 July 1946 in Avignon, France, the eldest daughter of a family of fourteen children; the youngest brother was born after she moved to Paris. Her father Roger and his family were native to Avignon, while her mother Marcelle-Sophie (née Poirier) was from Dunkirk. She arrived in Avignon in 1944 as a refugee from World War II after her grandmother had died, and her mother went missing. Roger, with his father Arcade, ran the family stonemason shop just outside the Saint-Véran cemetery main gate. The Mathieu family have been stonemasons for five generations. Today the shop is named La Marbrerie Mathieu-Mardoyan, and is still owned and operated by the family.Artist
