Br. Mohammed Almasri is one of Hijama graduate students from New Zealand. In this video he talks about how before Hijama, he used to use Chinese cupping alongside his Aucupuncture practice, but after learning and practicing Hijama and observing the resutls, Hijama is his preferred and main treatment.

Hijama Cupping Therapy is a therapeutic treatment practiced for over 5,000 years. It spread to many nations around the world over time including China, Africa, Russia, Middle East, Central, South East, South Asia and Europe, USA. The first documented records of its practice were found in the 19th century; the "Ebers Papyrus" originated from Egypt.

Originally Cupping involved putting an animal horn on the body and creating a vacuum by orally sucking the air out. This in turn, bought toxic blood to the surface of the skin. Over time, other instruments were used such as bamboo cups and glass cups.

Cupping is an excellent form of preventative and curative therapy. Below are some of the ways cupping helps:
■It boosts the circulatory and immune systems,
■Cleanses and detoxifies the body

Treats illness and relaxes the patient

Common ailments that are treated by cupping are:
■Unexplainable pain or pain in general
■Joint pain
■Pulled or tight muscles
■Poor blood circulation and blockages
■Constipation or IBS
■And much more.......
