Bmw e36 starter change out, This video is intended for those trying to do the job them selves. You will need an etorx (also known as external torx) wrenches and sockets. You will need e12 and e14 to do the job. You will need to remove the intake manifold, separating the injectors was the 2nd hardest part of the job. The hardest was getting the bolts off. There are several plugs underneath the manifold and vacuume lines. also the dipstick holder needs to be unbolted.

This job should take about 4 to 6 hours for the seasoned mechanic. For a kinda sorta mechanic 2 or 3 evenings. Good luck, I got the starter from Rockauto.com. also partsgeek.com is a good place for low cost auto parts.

I found this site for the wrenches you may need. I bough one for $45. So this is a better deal.
