This video of the Lady/Berrin litter born on 6-9-12 and was taken on 7-4-12. The pups are 3 1/2 weeks old in this video, when the pups were getting their first feeding of goats milk and learning to drink from a bowl. A few days after these videos were taken, we add Lamb and Rice canned food to the goats milk 2 times per day, and then a few days later add in the hard kibble which softens a bit from the milk. They also always have a full bowl of hard kibble food to munch on, and a full bowl of fresh water, By feeding the goats milk two times per day, even though this is a smaller litter than we are used to as the girls typically have around 10 pups, give or take, this was we ensure along with a puppy supplement we get from the vet, that they are not lacking in any nutrients and/or vitamins and minerals they may need and it takes off the strain of mom nursing so many pups as their teeth are coming in at this time. So regardless of the size of the litter this is something that we have always done as it makes sure the pups are getting all that they need, it helps our momma, and begins to teach the pups to eat and drink from a bowl and certainly mom helps to always clean up what is left, even as the pups are eating and Monkey see, Monkey do, so it helps them in the learning process of what they are picking up from Mom's actions, and again gives the mom much more nutrients that will help her with lactating as well as help keep her healthy and at a good weights, Hope you enjoy the videos as again I have been with out internet for over a week as our phone company upgraded from the DSL we had to new fiber optic cable system that is unbaleivably faster than the DSL we had before that took FOREVER to upload videos. In the mean time while my internet was down, I paid to connect to my laptop through the Hotspot connection on my cell phone which was a true waste of time and money as that was way slow. Actually we had gotten our new modem equipment via UPS on Thursday and we were advised we could hook up after 8pm on Thursday evening, which I did not attempt until Friday and was unable to get it to work so I had to call AT&T and have a technician come out and hook it all up and thank goodness they did so on a
Saturday morning as I explained to them how long we had been down and I had people waiting on information, and again I feel like we are in a different age, no longer in the ice age, as it is a worlds difference in the speed in which we now have in comparison to what we had with DSL. I still have several more videos to update and I am noting in each description area of each video the date so that you can follow the videos by date rather than the order they are in as some were not uploaded as I did them as the connection would continue to drop etc, but again am leaving test so you know what day each was taken and so on. I took a video this evening and will also get that posted tonight but plan to get them outside tomorrow on the grass to play for the day as long as it is not to hot in the shade. They have only been outside one time and that was Friday evening when my husband got home from work with one of his employees and his wife whom is a school teacher here at our local school, and she had her two children with her whom are 3 and 6 years old, so we took them outside with out momma in the grass for a bit which was a real hoot. They just loved it and played and the kids just kept saying how cute and how much they loved the pups, although they got to see the cats, the bobcat, helped to feed and water and hold the chickens we are raising for farm fresh eggs, and were even more excited about the pups over the horses. At any rate I did take a video of them today I will get posted but I will be setting them up a ex-pen in the shade tomorrow as long as it isn't to hot, so that they can play outside in the grass rather than being cooped up in the house with the central air everyday.
