The Pro Boost is Manlay Sound's recreation of the legendary Colorsound "Power Boost" which was later renamed "Overdriver". Both pedals shared the same circuit, the Power Boost" was powered at 18V while the "Overdriver" at 9V.

David Gilmour used to have a "Power Boost" in his pedalboard back in mid seventies.
Jeff Beck used the "Overdriver" also in the seventies.

The Manlay Pro Boost is powered at 18V but can also be powered at 9V. The 18V option increases the clean headroom of the unit. Thanks to its master volume it can be used as a fuzz or as a clean booster. It also has the benefit of the tone controls (bass and treble)

At the end of the video I play over the backing tracks of a couple of Jeff Beck songs.

As the whole range of Manlay Sound pedals, it is handmade, soldered on a perf board using point to point technique.

Equipment used:
Guitars: white Fender Jaguar, sunburst Greco Les Paul, white lefthanded Fender Stratocaster
Amplifier: red Dynacord DA16/V (Weber Ceramic Silver Bell speaker)
