Tyler of (http://www.rsdnation.com) reveals the philosophy of success he discovered over the years to build RSD. And why skipping a menial task one time can compound over the long term to completely giving up your dreams. Obviously this is an extreme example and you should NOT want to die if you miss the gym. The point is rather that once you decide on a path to reach your goal (and the menial tasks that are involved) that skipping them is not remotely an option to you. Later if you choose to re-assess what tasks you want to get done every day you can change them consciously and not out of laziness. And of course there's going to be the odd time you decide to miss so you don't need to run yourself into the ground and do more harm than good, but rather the point is simply to make the menial tasks that compound into massive success an extremely high priority.
