The Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming wants you to be safe in grizzly bear country. Often, when people are excited to see bears in our National Parks and National Forests they will pull over to the side of the road to get a better view outside of their cars.

Here are some suggestions to help keep you safe while driving through some of our nation's most beautiful and wildest lands, where you might come across a "Bear Jam." We want you to get the most from your trip, have a very special experience, and for you to be safe!

The Buffalo Bill Center of the West welcomes you to the area, and if you get the chance please come and stop by! We're located just an hour outside the East gate of Yellowstone National Park. We have a very large facility with wings devoted to art, culture, firearms, the history of the West, and an entire natural history section focused entirely on the Greater Yellowstone Region.

For more information about the Center, feel free to visit our website http://centerofthewest.org
