Shown is my sloppy attempt at making a Thermopile. The book "The Boy Electrician" by Alfred P. Morgan describes a Thermopile you can make with German Silver wire and Copper Wire. The claim is that this will produce upwards to 6 volts at .25 amps. I'm using steal wire ... and not getting very good results. But this was a fun little experiment. If you can do better, please post your video response. There are some quite amazing Thermopile inventions. Just search the web. These were popular in the early 1900s, but we seemed to have forgotten about them.
