Jens-André Herbener, religious historian at University of Southern Denmark has just published a book in Danish entitled "Naturen er hellig" ("Sacred Nature"). Jens-André is focusing on both the historical roots of our climate crisis and those found in the history of mentality: from the hunter/gatherer religions, through the ancient agricultural religions to the Asian and monotheistic religions. Worst case scenario, the global climate crisis is a threat to the survival of humankind. Therefore, focusing on resolving this crisis is especially crucial. Yet we cannot resolve the crisis if we do not understand it's complex background. Jens-André Herbener is speaking here at the Open Air event of the Golden Days festival in Copenhagen.
