How the threat of a marina to be dredged out in a nice little wetland at Sargeant Bay led to a public outcry and the founding of the Sargeant Bay Society, which proposed and after 12 years achieved protection of the area as a provincial park. The society wrote the park's management background report, rehabilitaed the wetland, built three hiking trails, controlled invasive plants, organized interpretative events and achieved two park boundary extentions.The presentation spans the period of 1987-2004, after which two more trails were built..
