Two BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) EMD GP30 locomotives are seen with a BNSF EMD GP35 at the lead. The GP30 engines were built at La Grange, Illinois in the 1960s. With a top speed of 78 mph or 126 kph, these engines were designed and built to compete with GE's U25B or U-Boat. 948 GP30 units were built. 1,334 GP35 units were built by EMD and GMD (General Motors). The GP35u in this video is engine # 2563 and the two GP30us are # 2472 and 2468.
