The Milwaukee Road Historical Association held it's 2001 convention in Montevideo, Minnesota. Montevideo was a division point on the Milwaukee and is the home today of the Milwaukee Road Heritage Center. The highlight of the convention were excursions pulled by Milwaukee Road 261 to and from the convention as well as other trips originating in Montevideo. Today the line is operated by the Twin Cities & Western Railroad.

You will enjoy seeing the complete story of 261's MRHA convention trips including the special returning to Minneapolis using archived analog footage on the new DVD from Yard Goat Images, "Steam: Trackside & Inside". You will also see rare all-Milwaukee Road passenger consist on some of the trips. Read more about Milwaukee Road 261 here: https://yardgoatimages.com/milwaukee-...

"Steam: Trackside & Inside" also has two additional features, including Soo Line 2719 as the engine is prepared for the first revenue run of the year, followed by two all-day trips between Duluth and Two Harbors, MN, including a cab ride as the locomotive is wyed in CN's Two Harbors yard. The third story is about Iowa Interstate QJ #7081 operating on fundraising trips for three western Iowa community fire departments in July, 2010. Both the 2719 and 7081 segments are in HD format.
