(www.abndigital.com) Zambia has released what appears to be a pro-poor budget in keeping with the election promises of new President Michael Sata. He unseated Rupiah Banda with promises to lower taxes and spread more widely the benefits of economic growth that has been spurred by higher copper prices. ABN crosses to Isaac Ngoma, President of the Economics Association of Zambia, as well as Perry James Perone, IMF Senior Resident Representative to Zambia and in studio is Yvonne Mhango, sub-Sahara Economist at Renaissance Capital.
