This is another interpretation of the choral "Der Tag, der ist so freudenreich", BWV 605, always under the Werckmeister III temperament.
The choice of the Swell stops produces now a more scintillating sound, which is more faithful to the original choral spirit. I hope the stop combinations for the Great and the Pedal divisions allow the other three voices to clearly stand out. The tempo also is faster than in the other version I have here, to reinforce the vivid feeling of joy of this choral.
The main difficulty in this choral, for me at least, is the part for the left hand. The left hand has to play two voices which are in a disposition demanding frequent, and often in a row, use of the little (5th) finger. This makes the fast tempo playing really fragile.
Recording made using the built-in organ sequencer.
