This video shows how my flywheel powered flipper robot Jack Reacher actually works. It traces the rope path and the mechanics behind the firing system. It's totally unrehearsed and unplanned though - consider yourself warned :)
I still definitely have a stability problem but I think it is something I can manage by adding a tail to the bot. It now transfers more energy into the opponent but still bounces enough to flip itself over.
