NIWA have created a fascinating Wellington Harbour tsunami simulation modelled on the 1855 earthquake event on the Wairarapa Fault. This simulation provided the basis for the earthquake and tsunami that was featured in the Aftershock tele-drama. James Goff, Senior Scientist at NIWA, talks us through the simulation. See what effect the tsunami wave has on Lyall Bay, Miramar and Evans Bay in particular. NIWA is the National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research, New Zealand. More videos www.aftershock.co.nz
