Ben’s appreciation of the climate crisis forced an evidence-based rethink of his long-held opposition to nuclear power. In early 2011 he delivered his seminal presentation Nuclear Power: From Opponent to Proponent to a strong response and Ben has since become one of Australia’s most prominent nuclear advocates. Ben is now undertaking doctoral studies with the University of Adelaide examining pathways for the introduction of nuclear power, and in particular advanced nuclear energy systems, into Australia’s electricity market.

Ben delivered this talk, "Beyond our Shores: A visual world tour exploring Australia's nuclear responsibilities" on 2014-11-13 at Brisbane City Hall. It was part of the Brisbane Global Café, an international though leadership event leading into the G20 meeting in 2014.
