Pamela’s Palace - Making its Edinburgh Fringe debut, this bittersweet and brilliantly funny interactive comedy brings enough drama, humour and sparkle to last the entire month. All tickets include nibbles and a glass of bubbles.
New to the Interactive Theatre International line-up, Pamela’s Palace is a completely immersive behind-the-sequins dramedy that straddles the line between bitter and sweet, while celebrating the vulnerability and strength of everyone trying to make their way in a noisy and unforgiving world. Invited to enter Pamela’s buzzing hair and beauty salon, audiences join the drama – and the laughs – as secrets and lies behind the glamour expose themselves, threatening to destroy this suburban Palace...
Theatre that is as funny as it is moving, Pamela’s Palace features three performers in a tidal wave of hairspray, glitz and secrets – think Mike Leigh’s ‘Abigail’s Party’ and ‘Strictly Ballroom’ transferred to a hairdressers and you’d be pretty close – though here you get a glass of bubbles thrown in!
