Leigh Steinberg Talks California College Athletes Pay SB 206 Law And It’s Impact
The famed sports agent Leigh Steinberg, with legendary clients from Troy Aikman in the past to Patrick Mahomes in the present, talks about the potential impact of California's new college athletes pay law, set to become active in 2023. The livestream talk was held just moments ago live at Zennie62 on YouTube, the channel ran by Zennie Abraham, CEO of Zennie62Media.
Leigh, a big proponent of pay for college athletes, presented common scenarios of what a college athlete has to go through that even standard students aren't financially harmed by. One example is not being able to get paid doing something that they're being trained to do in college for rise to professional rank: play a sport.
Mr. Steinberg also talked about what still needs to be "ironed out" in SB 206 with respect to agents and students after 2023.
