Dr. James Maskalyk is an associate editor with Open Medicine and an emergency physician in Toronto. He is author of the book Six Months in Sudan.

Dr. Gavin Yamey is senior editor at PLoS Medicine and PLoS Neglected Diseases.

Dr. James Orbinski is associate professor at the University of Toronto, past president of MSF, and founder of Dignitas International. He is recipient of the Orders of Ontario and Canada, as well as the Meritorious Service Cross.
