Computer science graduates work with people to develop innovative ways to harness the power of computing. They maintain computer and network security, debug computer programs, create websites, design software, protect sensitive information, and analyze information.

Employment opportunities for computer science graduates are expected to grow faster than the average for most occupations in the next decade. Rapid job growth is predicted through 2020 in areas such as software development and robotics.

The Mathematics & Computer Science Department's robotics lab has been described as one of the coolest places on campus. In 2011 our robotics team won the robotics competition at the annual Midwest Instruction and Computing Symposium.
