In this screencast, Yehuda Katz reimplements the ActiveSupport String#blank? method in Rust. Although just a few lines of code, Yehuda brings us all the way down to the metal and explains in detail why Rust is both blazingly fast and safe. He also talks about what the future will look like for Ruby developers who wish to use Rust in their applications.
This is the second in a series of screencasts that we recorded with Yehuda in Intercom.
