The Richard Smallwood Singers appear on "In Performance at the White House," hosted by the great Leontyne Price during the Reagan administration. This was actually taped at Shiloh Baptist Church in DC, and was part of a national salute to the Spiritual and Gospel music. Recorded on December 1, 1983 and aired on December 14, 1983.

The Smallwood Singers minister with "Come By Here" and "Sure Been Good To Me." President and Mrs. Reagan seem to have enjoyed themselves, and if you look on the row behind them, at the end of the pew, you will see Gospel great, Mother Willie Mae Ford Smith with her son and daughter clapping along.

Smallwood Singers: Jacki Ruffin, Carolene Adams, the late Wesley Boyd, the late Lisa Burroughs Allen, and Dottie Jones...the late Tim Linzy on bass (not shown) and Spike McRae on drums.
