Hope City Church celebrated 20 years at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday 26th June 2011. Senior Pastors Dave and Jenny moved over to the UK from Brisbane, Australia with a heart to plant a church-planting church in England that would touch, influence and bring about a movement of churches that would impact the UK and beyond. Today, Hope City Church has congregations seven locations including Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Lancashire, Accra (Ghana) and is on the brink of planting its first congregation in Europe with Hope City Frankfurt within the next year. This was our celebration event for all ages from all locations. During the evening we enjoyed performances from an 85 piece Symphony Orchestra, Strike (from Britain's Got Talent), Philippa Hanna, the Hope City Theatre Company, and heard from our Anniversary weekend special guest speaker - Steve Penny from Brisbane, Australia. We have accomplished much and been entrusted with more, and on this night we gave glory and honour where it's due; to those who have been a part of the journey, but mainly to the one who made it all possible and dreamt it up in the first place -- our incredible God. For more about the journey -- check out our History video.
