Jim Calhoun will announce his retirement intentions on Thursday after 26 seasons as the head coach of the men's basketball team at UCONN. Calhoun took an afterthought Huskies hoops program and made it into a perennial power in the late '90s and '00s. The last and most recent of his three national championships came at the age of 68, making him the oldest head coach to have won a title. SB Nation's Nick Fasulo remembers the controversially polarizing coach whose legacy of success on the sidelines won't soon be forgotten.
