The 2012 US Midwest drought devastating the farmland is another example of CO2 dessicating landmasses. In this case, the extreme drought was triggered by the massive, early and record-breaking Rocky Mountain fires which released millions of tons of CO2 in the atmosphere. As numerous space photos show, the fire smoke/CO2 blew under the higher, moisture-ladened clouds. The dessicating property of CO2 not only soaked up ground water but absorbed falling precipitation from the higher water-formed cloud. Once again observing the "soda-bottle shake", all the water came out a few days later in the form of massive, early and record-breaking violent storms on the East Coast which plunged millions of homes into darkness without electricity for days or weeks during a blistering hot early heatwave--again a CO2 derived climate extreme.
