We attended Easter mass during our Paris trip in order to hear the magnificent pipe organ at St. Sulpice, played by the equally magnificent Daniel Roth. The beginning of the video was shot on my iPhone before the 10:30 service started. Then during the noon mass we were allowed up to the organ loft to see Mr. Roth at the console. I switched to the HD vid camera in my camera. Mr. Roth is improvising the music you hear, playing from a small book of what appeared to be old church melodies written in a notation I didn't recognize. The occasion was also noteworthy because it was the 25th anniversary of Mr. Roth's tenure as the organist at St. Sulpice.
