The Urban Food Project aims to build a robust local food economy while creating healthy food access. UFP addresses the need for healthy food access for the 88,000 Birmingham, AL residents living in food deserts. We assist corner store owners in the purchasing, marketing, and selling of fresh produce. Weekly, we deliver quality produce to Birmingham, AL restaurants and corner stores located in food deserts. We also help farmers plan their crops and create access to new markets by distributing their goods.
