Not for the fainthearted: Tom on the set of "Guinness World Records - Die Größten Weltrekorde", in Cologne, Germany, on 23/11/2007.

The record was: The heaviest object to be sword-swallowed. The demolition hammer, which rests on Tom's upper lip and teeth weighs 38kg, which is about 84 lbs (US), or 6 stone (UK)!

This is a development of his 5kg hammer swallow (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KwR-3... ). There is another version of him doing this outside which I don't have video of yet (please contact me if you have a good copy of it).

The bit swallowed here is 25mm thick (1 inch) which may also make it the record for the thickest single object swallowed.

He actually needed three attempts at the swallow because the hammer got stuck on the guide rails twice but I edited out the second attempt for brevity.

This looks like the most dangerous of his Guinness World Records (5 now?) but I still think the tongue lifts are the most spectacular. Can't wait to see what comes next.

(Due to a spelling mistake, this is the record mistakingly attributed to Thomas "Bladthorne")
