44 year-old master's runner Michael Buckhoff breaks away from the pack as he wins first place overall male in the August 21, 2010 Apple Valley Rockin' in the Desert Mud Run. Unlike last year, race officials made the course a challenge with more than 26 obstacles strewn over the 3.1 mile course: steep rock-strewn hills, walls, recently dug and watered mud pits, rope swings, dozens of tires, and hard-packed and loose sand/dirt trails.
